Does this replace a VSO or attorney?+
VeteranClaimPro is a powerful tool that helps you understand your claim, generate documentation, and prepare for every step of the process. It does not provide legal or medical advice, and does not replace a licensed attorney or accredited VSO for complex appeals. What it does is make sure you walk into every interaction fully prepared, with the right documents in hand.
How accurate are the documents the app generates?+
Every document is built by collecting your specific information through structured, guided questions — then assembling it using language frameworks drawn from VA-approved forms, CFR regulations, and established claim standards. The Nexus Letter, Personal Statement, and Appeal Letter generators are built to produce VA-formatted output using the exact terminology raters and examiners look for. Documents should always be reviewed before submission to ensure they accurately reflect your personal situation.
What is a C-File and how does the analyzer work?+
Your C-File (Claims File) is the complete VA record of your service history, medical records, and previous claims decisions. It can contain errors, missing records, and undiscovered evidence that is silently affecting your rating. The app walks you through how to request your C-File from the VA, and includes a guided analysis tool that systematically cross-references your file against known claim criteria to help you identify gaps and discrepancies. What is the Buddy Letter Share feature?+
A Buddy Letter (also called a lay statement) is a written account from someone who witnessed your condition or its effects — a fellow service member, family member, or friend. It can be powerful evidence for your claim. The app generates a shareable link you send to your buddy. They fill out the form on their phone — no app download required. Once submitted, the completed letter saves automatically to your Documents inside the app.
What is an Intent to File (ITF) and why does it matter?+
Filing an Intent to File with the VA establishes your effective date — the date from which back pay is calculated if your claim is approved. If your claim takes 12 months to process and you never filed an ITF, you may lose a year of back pay. The app includes an ITF tracker with a countdown timer and a direct link to the VA.gov ITF form so you never miss this critical step.
